Landscape Firm Mullin Opens Baton Rouge Location

Landscape firm Mullin has opened its new location at 11522 Florida Avenue in Baton Rouge.

In late December, the company purchased the former Geaux Express used car lot from Geaux Ventures for $770,000. The 2.26-acre property includes a 3,000-square-foot office building and a 3,600-square-foot warehouse.

The facility will provide workspace for Mullin’s frontline managers, administrative support and field teams. The warehouse will be used for equipment storage. Mullin team members are already working on site while a minor renovation — including a new façade and paint —  is nearing completion. Mullin contracted the work itself.

“After years of our clients requesting us to partner with them on their properties in Baton Rouge, we made the strategic move to build an operation there,” said Mullin founder and CEO Chase Mullin. “For the last two years, we’ve rented a small, unassuming facility with the vision of eventually acquiring a facility that’s aligned with our brand. I’m proud to say that our new faciliy achieves that and also gives us the space to continue to grow as we add market share. We’re very optimistic about our continued growth trajectory in Baton Rouge and its surrounding areas.”

In business for nearly 20 years, Mullin has another location on River Road in St. Rose. The company’s projects include Amazon’s new facility at the former Cortana Mall, the Audubon Aquarium, Oak Alley Plantation, and the Capitol Grounds.

Chase Mullin said he plans to double the size of current team in Baton Rouge from 25 to 50 employees by 2025

“We’re excited to solidify our commitment to doing business in Baton Rouge by purchasing what will ultimately be a first-class facility,” he said. “Our presence here has been well-received, and we’re thrilled to create the same lasting impact on the Baton Rouge community as we have in New Orleans.”
