Dutch Bros, the popular Oregon-based coffee chain known for its drive-thru model, is expanding to Louisiana with its first location in Baton Rouge.

The company has submitted a proposal for planning approval at the City of Baton Rouge Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting on March 17, according to the preliminary agenda.

The 950-square-foot coffee shop is planned for West Lee Drive and will include 336 square feet of patio space but no indoor seating.

Dutch Bros, which currently operates 950 locations across 18 states, has been expanding rapidly in the South, with locations in Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, and Alabama. The company aims to surpass 1,000 locations nationwide by February 2025.
